Gratitude

Gratitude

Gratitude is an attitude. Being grateful for the thinks we already have helps us to open up for even better things.

So often we focus on what we do not have and that brings our energy down, when we can be so grateful for what we already have and what is already going well in our lives.

Gratitude helps us uplift our energy and life.

We feel good, and we all have so much to be thankful for.

Being thankful for the small things

When I started with gratitude I had no idea, what I could be grateful for, so starting small is essential.

  • Enjoying a cup of tea or coffee in peace, is something I was deeply grateful for as a single Mom of three.
  • Grateful for my children of course.
  • Grateful for a flower that is blooming
  • Grateful for sunshine or rain (after a dry period).
  • Grateful for food, or a friend etc.

It never has to be the big things; it is usually the small things that make a difference.

Start today, what are you grateful for and treasure it.

Truly feel it

When I started my gratitude journey, I sat in front of a sheet and needed to write down 5 things I was grateful for.

I quickly wrote them down, and was done with it.

I realized soon, that this was not the way to do it.

You have to feel gratitude, truly feel it.

Just writing it down and treating it as another to do thing on your list, is not being grateful, gratitude comes from truly feeling it, and opening your heart.

That means, you can still write it down, one thing at a time, and then take a minute to feel into this and feel it in your heart, breathe it in.

There this is being grateful for.

This makes a difference in your life.
